Hampshire Life June 2017 – Writers and chefs!

When I was asked by Hampshire Life if I’d like to interview Joanna Trollope prior to her appearance at the Winchester Festival, I nearly bit their hand off. She gave me the most wonderful interview, and has the kind of voice you could listen to all day.  You can read the piece here: Hampshire Life Trollope

This issue also features my interview with Matt Tomkinson, Head Chef at The Montagu Arms Hotel in Beaulieu. Matt is a Roux Scholar and the world’s politest man but even he had a ‘Gordon Ramsey’ moment on finding out he’d been awarded this prestigious prize!

Hampshire Life -The Antiques Hunters

I love the work of Bowden Knight and was delighted to be asked to write about them (and their dream lives, chasing down antiques and brocante) for Hampshire Life magazine.

Hampshire Life – The Sorting Office

Local authorities are always getting stick for making cutbacks. But Eastleigh Borough Council in Hampshire deserves all the praise I’ve heaped on it for instigating and supporting this initiative – funding craft and design units in the town’s former Post Office backroom. This place has received praise from design guru Wayne Hemingway and no wonder – it’s the perfect example of what every local authority should be doing and I was delighted to bring it to further public attention in Hampshire Life magazine’s March 2017 issue.

Hampshire Life – The lovely Miss Witt

What’s not to love about a woman who makes chocolate? Especially when she makes it as well as the New Forest’s Kerry Witt! They are extraordinary and she is down to earth and a master of her craft. This piece appears in the March 2017 edition of Hampshire Life.
